How Do I Get To Villa Oasis in Turks and Caicos?

At least once a week we answer almost the exact same question only from different people: Your pictures and videos look lovely, but where are the Turks and Caicos Islands?

While our Turks and Caicos Islands (TCI) are a British Overseas Territory, you’ll find us on a map near many other beautiful islands in the Caribbean. TCI is 575 miles southeast of Miami, pretty much due east of Cuba and a little more than 100 miles north of the Dominican Republic. Some tourists believe that we are part of the strand of islands in the Lesser Antilles (like St. Lucia, Dominica, Barbados and Montserrat) but we are much further north - TCI is about half way between Miami and Puerto Rico.

We also receive lots of questions about how Turks compares to the Bahamas too! While the Bahamas are much closer to Miami, those islands are more heavily populated with both full time residents and tourists too. According to our TCI tourism board, we have a little more than 30,000 full-time residents on our islands with about one million visitors annually from cruiseships and in-bound flights. Further, our beaches here have historically won awards for being some of the most beautiful in the world.

Flights to Providenciales Turks and Caicos

From the United States and Canada, there are many ways to fly into PLS, the Providenciales International Airport on Turks and Caicos.

Since the majority of our guests staying at Villa Oasis fly into our international airport (PLS) we do arrange for pick-up and transportation to our secured property; an easy 10-15 minute drive. As you’ll see from the graphic above (provided by FlightConnections) there are many non-stop flights to Turks. Some of these flights are seasonal, but the following 11 cities (airports) offer direct flights to PLS all year long:

  • Atlanta, GA

  • Boston, MA

  • Charlotte, NC

  • Miami, FL

  • Montreal, Canada

  • Nassau, Bahamas
